NeoWood Cobra This phone was developed by Swedish company Thalbach Designs. This phone was conceived as anti-Vertu. The phone appeared in the market in 2007 but it had to be shelved off because the company went bankrupt within a year. The phone weighs only 60 grams and has all the functions that are expected in an average mobile phone such as MP3 Player, Camera, Bluetooth, Web Browser and a Video Player. The phone didn’t have any button but it relies on the zForce technology that accurately tracks the movements of your fingers. The virtual keyboard moves the pointer to the middle of the screen by detecting the movements of fingers. The cost of the phone is $860 which is another damping factor. Another minus one is that the SIM cannot be dismantled easily.

 Goldwish Piece UniqueThis phone is for the super-rich who want to have their cell different from the masses. This phone is made in 18 carat white gold and has more than 100 VVS-1 graded diamonds. This phone was first introduced at the Millionaire Fair in 2006. The price of this phone is estimated to be around 1 million. Guinness has also acknowledged this phone as one of the most expensive phone ever sold. The maker of this limited edition phone sells only 100 pieces in a year.

3. ZTE s312:

ZTE s312This is the solar powered device that is produced jointly by ZTE and Digicel for their customers in the West Indies who cannot afford expensive phones. The main target group of this phone is those who have a limited access to the electricity. The phone is charged by a solar panel that is located at the back side. The price of this phone is only $35 and is sold in India, China, Africa and Caribbean.

4. Dial Phone:

Dial PhoneThis trendy phone is the brainchild of fashion designer Jung Dae Hoon. The mobile phone can be worn on the wrist like a bracelet. There is a beam which will be projected from various angles in the dial which will resemble the digits that you must dial in order to make a call. The upper part of the phone is responsive to human touch and then by pressing corresponding number you can make a call. Many believe that this will be the next iPhone in the making.

The best part of this phone is the side camera feature. The phone is commonly available in the Taipei’s ShiLin market. The cost of this phone is about $175.

    I don't know why but I really like the wooden one, I think it is the mix up between high tech and back to nature type feel.

    I have a pet peeve, I don't like mobile phones that look like they are going to snap just looking at them. No one needs to have a paper thin phone, the thicker ones aren't always heavier either, but I guess if you can't make them smaller, make them thinner.
