In this era of smartphones, where almost every day we come across new smartphones which are stuffed with new features and applications, the most awaited and highly buzzed about was the Apple I-phone 4s. But after the launch of the Android 4.0 powered Samsung Galaxy Nexus, there started a huge face-off as-to which one was better. On one hand is the Apple I-phone 4s which is the last product of the Apple co-founder Steve jobs while the other hand bears the latest Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) based Galaxy Nexus launched by Samsung. We, at Te3h dot com bring to you the feature based comparisons between
the two smartphones.

The I-phone has a dimension of 115.2 X 58.6 X 9.3 mm approximately whilst the Nexus is 135.5 X 67.9 X8.9 mm, followed by the weights 140g and 135g respectively. So the size criteria leaves nothing to talk
about, clearly the Galaxy Nexus has won in terms of the dimensions but is 5g heavier than the apple product.

The Apple I-phone has a 3.5 inch whereas the Galaxy Nexus has a 4.6 inch display which counts to the Plus points of Nexus. As of now when you might be considering Nexus to be better already but the resolution sets it all apart with the Nexus sporting a 1280 X 720 super HD quality and the I-phone having a resolution of 640 X 960. On the contrary, the pixel density is 330ppi for the I-phone and just 316 for the Samsung product.

Operating System (OS)

Now comes the Operating system which is of course iOS for I-phone and Android 4.0 for Nexus. The Apple I-phone promises being more user friendly, equipped with the new camera and message notifications, but the Galaxy Nexus takes it all off with the latest version of Android, which is the most preferred operating system because of its market applications which enable almost all variations.

Although both the smartphones are endowed with dual core, processors, the nexus equipped with 1GB RAM is sure to impress a lot more users than the apple I-phone with its 512 MB RAM.

The memory card slot of Apple I-phone is well compatible with 16,32 and 64 GB storage while the Nexus does not go beyond 16, 32 GB. Wireless Connectivity; The I-phone does have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled like he Galaxy nexus but it does not manage to fall beyond 3G, whereas the Nexus has 4G.

The primary camera of Galaxy Nexus is 5 Mega-pixel followed a 1.3 Mega-pixel Secondary camera in the front. The I-phone is equipped with a 8 Mega-pixel primary camera and a VGA secondary camera which sets the picture quality apart from the Samsung product.

Battery Life

The Samsung Nexus does not prove a disappointment like the other android devices with not enough battery Stand-by, as it gives a 270 hours of stand-by time which in-case of Apple I-phone is just 200 hours. But due to the 4G connectivity there might be a times when the Nexus shall fall short of battery but not enough to push down to anything near the Apple product.

Therefore, the result is quite obvious as the Nexus has 6/8 advantages over the Apple I-phone 4S (costing Rs. 64,ooo/-)and reaches your pocket in just Rs. 43,500/-.
