Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation, better known as IRCTC has given a New Year’s gift to all the Indians. An Indian railways spokesman said, "Currently, a technical team of Indian Railways is working on an independent mobile app which will be available across all the platforms like Android, iOS and Symbian. It will be launched within the next one month."

Yes, this thing is very true. Soon, in February, we all will be blessed by a whole new IRCTC app for our phones. It will be available for platforms like Android, iOS, Symbian. We are not sure if it will be available for Windows, Bada etc. This app will allow us to book our e-tickets to anywhere we want. There are already three similar apps in the market which allow us to book our e-ticket, they are Paymate, Ngpay and Atom.

The money for the ticket booked using IRCTC app will be paid through credit card, debit card or cash cards. But on the other hand other apps, which I have mentioned above, accept credit card, debit card, cash cards, and mobile wallet. One thing is sure, IRCTC will have to face a lot of problems in marketing their app.
