HTC One X vs Samsung Galaxy S 2 - Start to End

Samsung and HTC are the biggest emerging competitors and the contenders of the global phone market. Samsung started getting a whooping response from last year when its best smartphone ever, Samsung Galaxy S 2 attracted too many people. Something similar goes with HTC. And now both Samsung and HTC are standing in front of each other, full of energy and public support. So here we are, about to do the comparison between the two great smartphones of the 21st century – Samsung Galaxy S 2 and HTC One X. The comparison goes like this –

Operating System

OS of both the phone is Android. But Samsung Galaxy S 2 is having Android v2.3 which upgradeable to Android v4.0 but it officially this update is still not out. On the other hand HTC One X is already having Android v4.0 and will surely be updated as soon as the next version of Android , i.e. Android v5.0 (Jellybean) will be launched while we aren’t sure whether Galaxy S 2 will get that update or not.

Processor of Samsung Galaxy S 2 is a dual core 1.2GHz processor with Exynos chipset and Mali-400MP GPU but on the other hand HTC One X is having a 1.5GHz quad core processor with ULP GeForce GPU and Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset. Clearly, HTC One X is better.

Camera Quality
Camera quality of both the phones is good but there are bit variations too. Both the phones have 8MP primary camera with features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization etc but the secondary camera of S 2 is better than that of HTC One X. HTC One X is having1.3MP secondary camera while S 2 is having a 2MP secondary camera. Both the phones have same video recording capability, full HD at the speed of 30fps but video making features are better in case of One X.

The internal memory size of Samsung Galaxy S 2 is 16GB/32GB which means that it comes in two variants but on the other hand, HTC One X comes in only one variant of 32GB internal memory. Although the internal memory size is a bit less in S 2 but the expandable memory size is 32GB.

Data Connectivity and Price

Both the phones have amazing data connectivity features. Both the phones support 3G, GPRS, and EDGE etc. HTC One X supports Bluetooth v4.0 while S 2 supports Bluetooth v3.0. One X supports NFC, but it’s optional in S 2. Dimensions of One X are 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm while the dimensions of S 2 are 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm. HTC One X though is a bit thicker but it’s quite larger too. HTC One X is having 720 x 1280 pixels resolution with a 4.7 inches screen of 312ppi pixel density. S 2 has 480 x 800 pixels resolution with 4.3 inches of 217ppi pixel density. Cleary HTC One X is better.  HTC One X is expected to be priced at Rs.34,000 in India, while S 2 is already available for Rs.29,000.
